- RADÝKAL – Ünlü Ýngiliz matematikçi Alan Turing ve ekibi, Nazilerin kullandýðý Enigma adlý þifreyi kýrmak için, modern bilgisayarlarýn büyük babasý denilebilecek bir makine tasarlamýþtý. Bu makine sayesinde Müttefik Devletler 2. Dünya Savaþý’nda öne geçmeyi baþarýþ, savaþ çok kýsa sürede sona ermiþti. Fakat Turing bir eþcinseldi ve Ýngiliz hükümeti onu “ahlaksýzlýk”la suçlayarak yargýladý. Turing’in davasýný gören yargýç ona bir seçenek sundu: Ya hapse girecek, ya da kimyasallar alarak hadým edilecekti. Turing 2. yolu seçti ama, ömrünün geri kalanýnda büyük acýlar çekti. En sonunda yüksek dozda siyanür yuttu, bir elmadan ýsýrýk aldý ve intihar etti. Bu olay yýllar sonra Apple firmasýnýn ünlü gökkuþaðý renklerindeki elmalý logosuna da ilham verecekti.
